Road Closures

Road Closure Information

For competitors to participate in complete safety there will be road closures on the cycle course route.  Various roads within the vicinity of Mullaloo Beach, Kallaroo and Hillarys will be closed and detours in place during the event. Road closures will take place between 6am and 11:00am on Sunday 17 December 2023.  These road closures will affect the following roads.

  • Whitfords Avenue, between Northshore Drive and Angove Drive

  • Northshore Drive, between Mullaloo Drive and Whitfords Avenue

  • Access to Whitfords Avenue from Flinders Avenue

  • Access to Whitfords Avenue from the rear entrance/exit to Ern Halliday Recreation Camp

 

HOW IT AFFECTS YOU

Whilst access to your residence is unrestricted, the cooperation of all residents affected by the road closures is sought to only use the roads for emergency travel during these times.

  • The road closures will restrict access to the beach front car parks from Whitford Nodes to South Mullaloo between 6am and 10:30am.

  • Access to Whitford Nodes Park will be restricted from Whitfords Avenue between 6am and 10:30am.

  • Merrifield Place will remain accessible during this period from the North via Oceanside Promenade and Mullaloo Drive.

  • Mullaloo beach and the main car park (Tom Simpson Park) will remain open and be accessible during this period

Car Park access

Note - The road closures will also restrict access to the beach front car parks north of Whitford Nodes entrance to Mullaloo (South of Mullaloo Drive) between 6am and 11:00am.
